Talked to Bill just week before on Kelleys Island. He was looking forward to participating with the OSU Alumni Band with his Son. Will miss He and Barb tooling around in the OSU golf cart. Thoughts and prayers to Barb, Billy and Family.

I am incredibly heart broken for the loss of Bill. I have such fond memories of being in band with him and his wife as well as enjoying their generosity several times at their boat during the summer for a picnic. Their door was always open and welcoming to all. He will be missed by so very many people near and far. I will continue to pray for Barb and the family and Brutus, as I cannot imagine the deep sense of loss each of you must feel. Please know you are being thought of with love.

Bill was my first squad leader in OSUMB and was such an inspiration to me. He was meant to be a leader. Words cannot express our sincere sympathies to Barb, Billy and the Werner family. Game day at OSU could not begin until he yelled at us at the top of the ramp "WB, X-row, WB!!!" Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. Sincerely, Paul & Carol Parks

May I express my deepest sympathy for the family of "Billy" as I know him. We were childhood friends and neighbors. As we grew older and set our own paths in life, I am amazed at all the accomplishments he achieved. He did have a good sense of humor and always followed it with a smile hoping you understood. Marion, you raised the perfect son and in return he rewarded you with a family that will go on for generations. May God bless you and our prayers help comfort you during this time.
