Norman N. Greulich

Norman N. Greulich, 92, of Sandusky passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in the Providence Care Center following a brief illness.

He was born August 4, 1924 in Sandusky. He received his Veterans High School Diploma from Sandusky High. Norman was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he was a Motor Machinist Mate 3rd Class. In 1998, he received a Purple Heart award for his WWII service.  He retired from the former Geo. Canalos Inc. in 1989 and prior to this he worked for Coca Cola. He was a member of the American Legion and the USS LCI Association.  Norman was an avid fisherman, enjoyed working on model trucks and model ships, he was a Cleveland Indians fan, enjoyed classic Ford cars and loved his chocolate candy.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Bunt) Greulich whom he married 56 years ago in May of 1959; one son, Doug (Jodi) Greulich of Huron; one daughter, Pam (Elaina Carpino) Greulich of Hebron, Ohio; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Kylie Greulich both of Huron; one brother, Donald “Dutch” (Donna) Greulich of Sandusky; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward B. and Rose (Wisehart) Greulich; eight siblings, Catherine Greulich-Butts-Anderson, Marjorie Greulich-Potter, Richard Greulich, Robert Greulich, his twin brother Floyd Greulich, Josephine Greulich-TenEyck, Eugene Greulich and Raymond Greulich.

Friends may call Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 9:30 AM until time of funeral service at 11:30 AM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Phillip Feltman will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
