LaDonna C. Gibson, 84, of Sandusky passed away Tuesday morning, January 31, 2017 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born on January 4, 1933 in Sandusky and was a life-long resident. LaDonna was employed for 32 years by the Sandusky City Schools as manager of the High School cafeteria, retiring in 2000. She was an avid reader.
She is survived by four daughters, Debra (Bernard) Bushardt of Findlay, Ohio, Jodi (Andrew) Kocis of Aiken, South Carolina, Karen Gibson and Jenny Gibson, both of Sandusky; one son, Brandon (Theresa) Gibson of Sandusky, 19 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, one great great grandson; one sister, Rhoda Notestine of Sandusky; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Billy S. Gibson in 2008; her father, James Rumford; her mother & step-father, Arthur & Eva (Lance) Lewis; two sisters, Nancy Wach and Sally Baaske; one brother, Robert Rumford.
Friends may call Friday, February 3, 2017 from 11:00 AM until time of funeral service at 1:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Rev. Rob Patton will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
