Carryl B. Martin, 95, of Sandusky died Wednesday afternoon, September 16, 2015 in the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky.
She was born August 25, 1920 in Amherst, Ohio and had served in the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1943-1945. She had lived in Tucson, AZ until 2008 and had retired from the University of Arizona in 1985. She was an avid reader, enjoyed walking and archery and she also loved cats.
She is survived by one brother, Douglas (Carmen) Hogrefe of Bay View; one sister, Kathy Quint of Swansea, MA, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dietrich and Dorothy (Church) Hogrefe; one sister, Beatrice; and one brother, Ralph.
At the request of the deceased there will be no visitation or services.
Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
