Virginia Rose (Kocher) Missler, 96, of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in the Fisher-Titus Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born June 4, 1924 in Milan, Ohio and was a 1943 graduate of Norwalk St. Paul. She married the love of her life, Herman Sylvester Missler on July 6, 1963 in St. Anthony Church, Milan.
Virginia was a member of St. Gaspar Del Bufalo Catholic Church, Bellevue where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Daughter of Isabella. She was a former member of St. Sebastian Church. She was a secretary at the Farm Loan office for sixteen years. Virginia taught first grade religion class at St. Sebastian for twenty-six plus years and was a 4-H advisor for twelve plus years. Virginia enjoyed being a homemaker for her family and cherished her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Herman S. Missler; two children, Annette (Kevin) Bond and Gerard (Sheila) Missler both of Bellevue; six grandchildren, Ashley Bond, Nathaniel (Kaylee) Bond, Allison Bond, Brittany (Seth) Gonzales, Brandon Missler, and Ryan Missler; great grandchildren, Luke Bond, Jaci Bond, Mia Gonzales, and Dahlia Gonzales; siblings, Theresa (John) Hofacker and Charles Kocher; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Antoinette (Rummel) Kocher; siblings, Howard Kocher, Robert Kocher, Roy Kocher, Mary Kocher, and Rita Fulton; sister in laws, brother in laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Friends may call from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm Sunday, October 18, 2020 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am Monday, October 19, 2020 in St. Gaspar Del Bufalo Catholic Church, 16209 County Road 46, Bellevue, Ohio 44811. Fr. Gary Walters will officiate. Burial will be in the Saint Sebastian Catholic Cemetery, Bellevue. Luncheon following the burial will be held at Saint Sebastian Hall.
