Thomas Martin “Tommy” O’Neill, 73, a resident of the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky and formerly of Cleveland, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022.
He was born December 5, 1948, in Cleveland. Tommy served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and had lived at the Ohio Veterans Home for past 2 ½ years. He will be remembered for his love of rock n’ roll, playing cards, the Cleveland sports teams, especially the Indians and a bit of side gambling. Tommy loved his life and was not ready to leave.

He is survived by his sister, Penny (Chuck) Kleinhenz of Fort Wayne, Indiana, his niece and nephews, Kelly, Kevin, and Kris, plus the “greats”, Keaton, Piper, Caroline, and Colin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. & Frances M. (Winters) O’Neill and two sisters, Eileen (AKA ‘Red’) and Peggy.
Friends may call Friday, April 1, 2022, from 10:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in the Giffin Chapel of the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. A Military Service will immediately follow Mass. Father Doug Taylor and Chaplain Paul Birmingham, ret. will officiate. Inurnment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland.
