Thelma Thompson Obituary

Thelma M. Thompson, 78, of Bellevue passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, June 6, 2022, at her residence.

She was the daughter of Henry and Olive (Hooper) Frankfather. She was a 1962 graduate of Bellevue High School and was employed at Armstrong Air until her retirement. Thelma was a kind, caring, and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced many challenges with courage and dignity. She truly loved her family and fur-babies dearly. She grew up camping on Lake Erie with her siblings and continued camping with her daughter and grandchildren on the river in Loudonville, Ohio. She loved the extended family she met over the last fourteen years at Arrow Point Campground. There was always a smile and hug to give to all those she met.

She is survived by the love of her life, James Thompson whom she married December 29, 1984. She was a devoted mother of her children, Jeanette Patten, Fred Podeyn, and Marie (Brad) Burson; loving Nana to her grandchildren, Logan Shinski, Kaden Burson, Nikki Burson, and Isabella Podeyn; one brother, Robert (Ruth) Frankfather; one sister, Dodie (Bernie) Good; one sister-in-law, Chris Frankfather; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Virgil Frankfather; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dean and Donna Gibson; and twins, granddaughter, Olivia and grandson Freddy.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
