Tarrie Heimrich-Powell Obituary

Tarrie Jo Heimrich-Powell, 61, of Milan, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on October 17, 2025, at University Hospitals Cleveland.

Born to the late Harry and Edna Heimrich, Tarrie lived her life with a heart too big for one lifetime, a heart that loved, gave, and embraced everyone who crossed her path. She had a laugh that could fill a room, a spirit that lifted everyone around her, and hugs that could calm any storm. She was the kind of woman who made sure everyone was fed before she ever sat down herself. If she had it, you had it; no one went without in her presence.

Tarrie ran her own business, A Lady’s Touch, offering cleaning, wallpaper, and painting services. She took pride in making things beautiful, homes, hearts, and people alike. Even while on disability, she never stopped creating, giving, and finding joy in making life brighter for others. She believed in leaving everything better than she found it, especially people, and she lived that truth every day.

Her favorite place was anywhere she could be surrounded by love, sitting outside at a park, camping old-school style under the stars, or walking along the beaches of Beaufort, South Carolina, the place she called home for decades. Tarrie was all about that island life! She adored the ocean, animals, laughter, and the simple joy of being together. She was a pro bowler, a movie lover, an animal nurturer, and the woman who made sure everyone felt welcome and loved.

Her love language was giving, not just gifts, but time, care, and comfort. She celebrated every success, believed in speaking life into others, and made sure everyone she loved felt seen, valued, and appreciated. Tarrie loved hard, forgave easily, and left an impression of warmth wherever she went.

Her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her daughters Jea’Anna Heimrich and Mechelle Chaffee; grandchildren De’Zmon Heimrich, Amari Bloom, Lilyana Witmer, Arabella Heimrich-Awls, Gabrielle Larson, Grace Larson, and Grant Larson; and great-grandchildren Grayson Howell and Levi Howell. She also leaves behind her loving siblings Edward (Laura) Heimrich, Connie Heimrich, and James (Carrie) Heimrich, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends who will forever carry her laughter and love in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Edna Heimrich.

Even in her final moments, Tarrie remained selfless. She was an organ donor, a final act of love and generosity that perfectly reflected who she was: a woman whose heart was big enough to keep on giving, even after it stopped beating. A true hero to the very end.

Cremation will be handled through Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel (109 Monroe Street, Monroeville, OH 44847; 419-465-2475). There will be no formal funeral or viewing.

Flowers and donations in her memory may be sent directly to Pfeil Funeral Home to assist with final arrangements. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Beaufort, South Carolina, the place she loved most.

Tarrie Jo Heimrich-Powell will be remembered for her laughter, her generosity, and her unwavering ability to make others feel loved, safe, and valued. She filled the world with warmth, humor, and grace. Though her presence can never be replaced, her light will live on, in the hearts she touched, the love she gave, and the family who carries her spirit forward. Her love will echo through generations.
