Steven Jett Obituary

Steven G. Jett, 67, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 following a battle with cancer.

He was born October 4, 1953 in Charleston, West Virginia to Limon and Louvinia (Butler) Jett. Steven lived in Spencer, West Virginia during most of his young life, relocating to Barberton, Ohio with his family. He was a 1972 graduate of Barberton High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. While in the Army he was involved in the earthquake disaster relief in Manaqua, Nicaragua in Central America. After the service he returned to the Barberton area and was employed with the B&C Machine. He married Katrina (Burnett) Jett and had three children.  He resided in Sandusky for some time. Steven liked fishing, hunting, motorcycling, camping, and being outdoors.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela LaGray; his mother Louvinia White; four sisters, Violet Diedrick, Diana Williams, Pamela Schlitt, and Teresa (Richard) Hanshaw; three brothers, Kenton (Charlene) Jett, Keith Jett, and Jeffrey (Cheri) Jett; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his one daughter, Crystal Bittinger; one son, Steven R. Jett; his father, Limon Jett; and stepfather, Harold White.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, March 29, 2021 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm following the service in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio. Burial is limited to thirty people due to COVID, immediate family will be permitted first.
