Roger A. Stang

Roger Alan Stang, 59, of Monroeville passed away peacefully Thursday, July 9, 2020 at his residence following a two-year battle with lung cancer.

He was born August 11, 1960 in Norwalk and was a 1978 graduate of Monroeville High School and EHOVE Career Center. Roger worked on the family farm with his Dad and brothers most of his life. He was in the agricultural industry for thirty-nine years, working for Sohigro, Terra, and Sunrise. He was recognized as one of the top ten agronomist in the country. Roger enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, entertaining, and hunting. He loved his career and all of the farm families he worked with.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Robin S. (Green) Stang; two sons, Chad Stang and Kyle (Sara) Stang; two granddaughters, who were the apples of Papa’s eye, Maddie and Myla Stang; his parents, Norbert and Grace (Long) Stang; two brothers, Richard (Tracy) Stang and Leroy (Jodi) Stang, all of Monroeville; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Tommy Stang.

Friends may call from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, July 14, 2020 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, July 15, 2020 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. Fr. Ron Brickner will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville.
