Richard "Dick" "Papa" P. Leber, Sr.

Richard P. “Dick” “Papa” Leber, Sr., 86, of Willard and formerly of Monroeville passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 10, 2018 surrounded by his loving family in The Willows of Willard following a lengthy illness.

He was born April 3, 1931 in Monroeville and a Monroeville High School graduate. He was a member of Congregational Community United Church of Christ. He was a life member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Richard was in the U.S. Air Force where he served his country as a mechanic. He was employed for Chef’s Pantry for many years as the fleet supervisor. Dick was a gentle teddy bear.

He is survived by two daughters, Melodie Adelman and Lynette (Bob) Krull; two sons, Richard Leber, Jr. and Eugene Leber; fifteen grandchildren, two step-granddaughters, and twenty four great-grandchildren; one sister, Juanita Ries; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife June M. (Dailey) Leber in 2012; his parents, Phillip and Eda (Weilnau) Leber; two sisters, two brothers, one son-in-law, Michael Adelman, and one daughter-in-law Colleen Leber.

Friends may call Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 1:00 PM until time of funeral service at 3:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. The Rev. Dr. Wayne Chasney will officiate. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
