Richard R. "Dick" Reser

Richard R. “Dick” Reser, 95, of Monroeville passed away peacefully Monday, June 29, 2026, at his residence.

He was born September 2, 1930, in Piqua, Ohio and was a 1948 graduate of Monroeville High School. Dick was also a graduate of Tri State University, where he received his degree in business management. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Dick was employed at EHOVE Career Center where he taught Office Specialist classes. He had also taught in the Monroeville and South Central school systems.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 547, Monroeville, V.F.W. Post 1238, Bellevue, Roby Lodge No. 534, F.&A.M., and the Althea Chapter No. 438, O.E.S.

Dick truly enjoyed his time talking with family and friends over a cold one.

He is survived by two sons, Richard (Gerri) Reser of Monroeville and Steve Reser of California; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty L. Reser in 1998; his parents, Richard and Ruth (Bittle) Reser; and one brother, David Reser.

Friends may call from 10:00 am until time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm on Monday, July 6, 2026, in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. The Rev. Dr. Wayne Chasney will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
