Norma K. (Brown) Ruse

Norma K. (Brown) Ruse, 79, of Norwalk passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 5, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 22, 1940 in Winona, West Virginia to James and Fannie (Wood) Brown. Norma was a graduate of Sandusky High School. After raising her children Norma enjoyed various jobs until she was able to retire. Norma especially enjoyed reading, tending her flowers, visits with family and friends on her porch and most of all, she loved spending time with her grandkids. Gammaw or Mimi as she was known by them, always stated that if she knew grandkids were this much fun, she would have had them first. She will be greatly missed by them.

Norma was survived by her children, Karen Ruse of Westlake, Lisa (Scott) Mapus of Sandusky, Andrew (Sherrie) Ruse of Upper Sandusky; stepchildren, Laura Milkey of Michigan, and Thomas (Ilene) Ruse of North Carolina; and her pride and joy, grandchildren, Emma, Nora, and Ethan; step grandchildren, Stephanie, Kenny, Jessica, Victoria, Amanda and Ashley; and five great grandchildren; siblings, Esther Day of Sandusky, and Carlan Harper of West Virginia; special nieces, Jane Tunnell, Diane Brown, Peggy Harper, and Sharon Byrd; along with several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of forty-nine years, Larry; siblings, Gertrude Gill, Dorothy Gilkerson, Niokla McClung, James Brown, Jr., Everette Brown, Ranzy Brown, and stepson, Wyl Ruse.

Private graveside services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
