Norma F. Jones, 87, of Norwalk passed away peacefully August 29, 2023, in the Norwalk Memorial Home.
She was born December 9, 1935, in Norwalk where she was a lifelong resident. Norma was a 1954 graduate of Norwalk St. Paul High School. She was employed by Norwalk Furniture, Huron County Sheriff’s Department, and the Ohio Unemployment Agency. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville.
She is survived by one daughter, Terri Jones of Westerville, Ohio; one son, Kurt (Laura) Jones of Geneva, Ohio; five grandchildren, Laura, Matt, Gabe, Jade, and Tessa; three great grandchildren; one brother, Stan Strong of Keizer, Oregon; one sister, Mary Ann (Dick) Parish of Norwalk; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dean A. Jones in 2017; two sons, Kelly D. Jones in 1979 and Todd M. Jones in 2004; her parents, Stanley and Mary (Doughty) Strong; and one sister, Audrey Borgia.
Friends may call from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. Fr. Chris Jesudhason will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Endowment Fund, 79 Chapel Street, Monroeville, Ohio 44847 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
