Nicole Annette Lapata

Nicole A. Lapata, 55, of Sandusky passed away peacefully Thursday, April 26, 2018 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky following a one-year battle with cancer.

She was born June 8, 1962 in Sandusky where she was a life long resident. Nicole was a 1980 graduate of Perkins High School. She was employed as a bus driver for Perkins Public Schools for the past ten years. Prior to this, she had worked for Eastern News for twenty years. Nicole was a great storyteller and enjoyed her dog Molly.

She is survived by her parents, Tony and Pat (Thompson) Lapata of Sandusky; one brother, Mark Lapata of Sandusky; two sisters, Tracie (Scott) Mattlage of Norwalk and Karee Lapata of Miamisburg, Ohio; special friends, Loretta, Pat, Carl Kennison of Bellevue; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 28, 2018 at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Road, Sandusky. Pastor Eric M. Lapata, nephew of the deceased, will officiate.
