Nanciann (Nancy) Beck Riedel Kobler, age 91, of Huron, Ohio, passed away on April 24, 2026.
She was born on August 1, 1934, in Sandusky, Ohio to Mildred and Ray Beck.
Nancy graduated from Sandusky High School in 1952. She worked as a switchboard operator at Ohio Bell, as a secretary at Mantey Vineyards, and a bookkeeper and occasional laborer for her first husband Karlheinz (Karl) Riedel’s local construction company. She also was the proprietor of The Collection Agency a craft and collectibles boutique with her sister Bettiann (Betsi) Beck Gow. But she primarily focused her attention on raising her three children. After Karl’s passing, she married Ewold (Ed) Kobler.
Nancy was widely known as a colorful and outspoken person. She loved arts and crafts, flowers, and all things bright, floral and sparkly. Nancy lived on Cedar Point Road for nearly fifty years and greatly enjoyed her walks on the beach. She was a member of St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ and the local chapter of Eastern Stars.
Nancy is survived by her children Karl Heinz Riedel III, Tanya (Kevin) Riedel Weston and Heidi (Doug) Smith; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, as well as her beloved caretaker Keri Lakner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, her half siblings, and her husbands.
Her life was celebrated in a private burial ceremony at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Jerald A. Fenske officiating.
