N. Violet (Romig) Herner

N. Violet Herner, 102, of Bellevue passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, December 7, 2022, at her residence.

She was born July 2, 1920, in Tiffin, Ohio and was a 1939 graduate of Bellevue High School.

Violet was employed by the J.C. Penney Store, Bellevue prior to her retirement. She enjoyed 20 years as the 4-H Advisor for the Lyme Sunshine Girls. Her hobbies included her flower garden, flower arranging, traveling, and taking road trips to many of our National Parks.

She is survived by three daughters, Rita (Tom) Boals, Boise, Idaho, Nancy Osborn, Bellevue, Ohio, and Bonnie Sue (Murray) Morgan, Mesa, Arizona; six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Herner in 1995; her father, Howard Romig; her mother, Goldie (Carter) Emerson; one brother, Clifford Romig; and two son-in laws, Frank Osborn, and Duane Peterson.

Friends may call from 2:00 PM- 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 11, 2022, in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. Friends may also pay their respects from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM Monday, December 12, 2022, in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 W. Broad Street, Monroeville, Ohio 44847. Rev. Dan Pennington will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
