Mary A. Traina

Mary A. Traina, 83, of Huron passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 in the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born April 20, 1934 in Gary Indiana and had moved to the Huron area in 1966. Mary was employed for thirty-five years as a librarian for the Huron City School System. She loved reading, cooking, and enjoyed her interactions with kids. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Huron.

She is survived by two sons, Tim (Celia) Finton of Milan and Greg (Julie) Finton of Huron; three grandchildren, Andrew Finton of Milan, Carly Finton of Morgantown, West Virginia, and Brandon Lochotzki of Huron; two sisters, Filomae (Len) Schmidt and Antionette Traina, both of Indiana; two brothers, Charles (Michelle) Traina of California and Robert Traina of Illinois; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ann (Cina) Traina; and one sister, Josephine Crowe.

A Catholic Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 in the St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron. Fr. Jeff McBeth will officiate. Luncheon will follow the mass.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
