Mary Elizabeth (Foltz) Knisely

Mary E. Knisely, 71, of Sandusky passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in the Advanced Specialty Hospital of Toledo.

She was born November 17, 1948 in Sandusky and was a 1967 graduate of Sandusky High School. Mary had various jobs over her lifetime and retired from Firelands Regional Medical Center. Her hobbies included genealogy and writing.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Knisely of Sandusky and Robert (Kinde) Knisely of Florence, KY; two granddaughters, Kayla and Meghan; one brother, Clifford (Sandy) Foltz of Willard; sister in law, Geraldine Knisely of Sandusky; her very close nephew, Kevin Knisely of Sandusky; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell A. Knisely May 20, 2020; and her parents, Clifford and Dorthea (Kramer) Foltz.

Private family services will be held Monday, October 26, 2020 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Pastor Erin Porter will officiate. Entombment will be in the Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Erie and Ottawa Counties, 1907 East Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 or to the family.
