Margaret "Maggie" Hauler Obituary

Margaret “Maggie” V. Hauler (nee Greenwald), 91, of Norwalk and formerly of Monroeville passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020 in the Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk.

She was born June 8, 1929 to Adam and Elizabeth (Mihali) Greenwald in Detroit, Michigan. Maggie lived most of her life in Monroeville and was a graduate of Monroeville High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In February of 1955 she married Leonard J. Hauler. She worked numerous jobs including GE in Bellevue, Monroeville High School cafeteria, cleaning houses, and had volunteered at Fisher-Titus Hospital.

Maggie enjoyed playing cards, board games, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Richard (Rose) Hauler and Ron (Mona) Hauler; son-in-law, Harold “Shorty” Wilhelm; six grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Hauler in 1976; her daughter, Mary Wilhelm in 2005; her parents, two sisters, two brothers, and four foster sisters.

Friends may call from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, November 20, 2020 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, November 21, 2020 in the funeral home. Fr. Ronald Schock will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph School Endowment Fund, 79 Chapel Street, Monroeville, Ohio 44847 or to the donor’s favorite charity.
