Larry J. Meyer

Larry J. Meyer, 51, of Monroeville passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 18, 2019 in the Twilight Gardens Nursing Home, Norwalk following a brief illness.

He was born July 6, 1968 in Norwalk to Ambrose and Annabelle Meyer and was a 1987 graduate of Monroeville High School.  Larry was employed for thirty years at the Plum Brook Country Club, working as ground maintenance for the golf course.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville, the Knights of Columbus, St. John Newman Chapter 1117, and the American Legion Post 547.  His hobbies included writing poetry, playing drums, helping on the farm, and enjoying a cold beer. 

He is survived by his mother Annabelle (Knoll) Meyer of Monroeville; two sisters Marianne (Dave) Lierenz and Melinda (Bob) Davis, both of Norwalk; two brothers Michael (Joann) Meyer and David Meyer, both of Monroeville, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father Ambrose E. Meyer in 2003.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, September 21, 2019 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville.  Father Ronald A. Schock will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Endowment Fund, 79 Chapel Street, Monroeville, Ohio 44847.
