Juanita Jane (Smith) Schibley

Juanita Jane (Smith) Schibley, 87, a resident of Monroeville (recently Willard), Ohio passed away on March 4, 2024, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.

She was born on July 15, 1936, in Barberton, Ohio to the late Donald and Florence (Moore) Smith, Sr. and was a Monroeville resident in her married life. She worked at the Faulhaber company making bicycle seats until she retired. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville.

She is survived by her children, Sheila (Dan) Hershiser and Linda (Gene) Weilnau, both of Willard; grandchildren, Anthony (Mandy) Hershiser, Annie Hanson, Zach (Cheyenne) Weilnau, Nicole Campbell; great grandchildren, Braylee Bishop, Emberlee and Kynlee Kilgore, Keagan Slater, Ava, Jayce, Abel, James, Jaxson, and Addy Hershiser; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Burden and Ellen (William) Schibley; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Schibley, whom she married June 30, 1956; her parents, sister and brothers-in-law, Harry and Ruth Wood, William Schibley; and nephew, Gary Schibley.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 7, 2024, in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 8, 2024, in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville, Ohio 44847. Fr. Chris Jesudhason will officiate. The burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville at a later date.
