Joyce Ann Fitzpatrick passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026, after a lengthy illness.
Joyce was born in Sandusky and was a graduate of Sandusky High School. She completed an apprenticeship program and worked in the skilled trades department at General Motors Plant in Mansfield and retired from there after thirty-one years of service.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Alan Fitzpatrick; three sons, Peter (Darlene) Palmison, Vijay (Angela) Fitzpatrick, and John (Heather) Fitzpatrick; four daughters, Veronica Jaeger, Teresa (Brian) Peterson, Sophia (Chad) Hall, and Esther Fitzpatrick; twenty grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, special cousin, Mary Lou Knittel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter, Annette Munafo; grandson, Dominic Munafo; granddaughter, Brianna Winkel; her father and mother, Norman and Estella Japsen; son-in-law, Matthew Jaeger; sister and brother-in-law, Norma Jean and Charlie Frisch.
A private family service will be held with inurnment to take place in Calvary Cemetery., Sandusky. Deacon Jeff Claar will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
