Joshua P. Niedermeier, 33, of Maumee and formerly of Monroeville passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 14, 2021 in McLaren St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee from a septic lung infection.
He was born May 19, 1987 in Willard, Ohio. Joshua attended St. Francis Xavier Parochial School, Willard and was a 2005 graduate of Monroeville High School. As a young boy Joshua attended many sprint cars races with his Uncle John Gerber, always coming home with a t-shirt of his favorite driver. One of his favorite places to be was on the lake and he enjoyed fishing with his Uncle Ken Gerber and best bud Paulie Skidmore. Josh inherited his “love of mud”/concrete from his Grandpa Gerber which led him to a career with DL Smith, Rock Star Concrete, and Hermes Parker Concrete. He was a huge Oregon Ducks fan, while the whole family was Ohio State Buckeye Fans, causing lots of rival laughter. He was an active member of the Midwest Brotherhood. Joshua was known for his big bear hugs, had a great sense of humor and made everyone smile. Joshua’s love for his family and friends was undeniable and he was always willing to help, even a stranger.
He is survived by his mother, Susie Gerber Lohmann of Monroeville; his father, Joseph (Tanya) Niedermeier of Willard; three sisters, Chelsea (Jarrett) Roesch of Milan, Bree Anna (Ricardo Jr.) Tinoco of Sandusky, Kaitley (Randy) West of Maryland; one brother, Brayden (Autumn) Niedermeier of Willard. He was the very best uncle to all his nieces and nephews, Aubrey Palmer-Roesch, Adrian Carroll, Anna Carroll, Anthony Garland, Harper Roesch, August Tinoco, Kolton Niedermeier, and Cohen Roesch; step-grandparents, John and Ella (May) Nester; former stepfather, Fred Lohmann, Jr.; grandparents, Fred Sr. and Gerry Lohmann; uncles, Keith (Karen) Gerber, John Gerber, Ken (June) Gerber; aunts, Kathy (Dr. James) Bosse, Rebecca (David) Strayer, and Pamela Niedermeier.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Janet (Zureich) Gerber; paternal grandparents, Russell and Christine (Lucas) Niedermeier
