Joseph C. Leimeister, 63, of Norwalk passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 3, 2021.
He was born September 15, 1957, in Norwalk, Ohio and was a 1975 graduate of Western Reserve High School.
Joe worked for Norwalk Furniture and retired from Gray Line Industries in Norwalk.
He loved hunting, fishing, spending time spoiling his grandchildren, and poking fun at his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his four children, Jack Leimeister, Jason (Shannon) Grosswiler, Kevin Grosswiler, all of Norwalk, and Amanda Goggleye of Willard; nine grandchildren; siblings, Marcella Felver, Shirley (Emmitt) Carroll, Janis Russ, Mona (Ron) Hauler, Mark Leimeister, Judi (Scott) Shadwick, Jill Leimeister, John (Michele) Leimeister, Jenny (Kevin) Oney, Mickey Howk, Joe (Isle) Ryan, and Tom Ryan; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife Kim; parents, Jim and Marge Leimeister; stepfather, Joe Ryan; siblings, Jim Leimeister, Maria Vick, and Midge Wittmer.
A graveside committal service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Collins Cemetery, Collins, Ohio. Monsignor Ken Morman will officiate. The family will have a celebration of Joe’s life at 3:00 pm.
