Jeanette Arlene (Russell) Albert

Jeanette A. (Russell) Albert, 96, of Sandusky passed away peacefully Thursday morning, May 6, 2021 in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.

She was born July 12, 1924 to Henry and Cornelia (Scherrer) Russell. She was a 1942 graduate of Sandusky High School where she was a member of the A Cappella Choir. She continued her education graduating from beautician school in Cleveland, OH. Jeanette was a lifelong beautician, owning and operating The Beauty Center in Sandusky for decades, retiring in 2018 at the age of 94. She was a member of St. Stephen United Church of Christ, Sandusky Choral Society serving as their treasurer for many years, Erie County Senior Center Euchre Group, and the Sandusky High School Class of 1942 Class Reunion Committee. Her hobbies included playing cards, fishing, gardening, and sending greeting cards. Jeanette always put her family and friends first.

She is survived by two children, Donna (Michael) Kastor and Ronald (Carol) Albert, both of Sandusky; four grandchildren, Jenna (Jon) Conti of Avon Lake, OH and their children, Emersyn and Tucker Conti, Daniel (Rachel) Albert of Landisville, PA and their children, Noah, James, and Madeline Albert, Kara Kastor of Sandusky, and David (Amanda) Albert of Hilliard, OH; two nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Albert in 2004; her parents; two brothers, Edward J. Russell and John James “Jim” Russell; five sisters, Lillian Trautlein, Dorothy Appell, Helen Buck, Anna Marie Casali Krogh, and Mary Alice Hartenfeld.

Private family services will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Rev. Jerald A. Fenske will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
