James (Jim) A. Lindenberger, 76, passed away September 13, 2025.
He was born May 25, 1949, in Norwalk, the son of John and Leona Lindenberger, who preceded him in death.
Jim was a 1967 graduate of Monroeville High School. Jim worked at Lakeside Press in Willard (formerly R.R. Donnelley & Sons) for 42 years.
He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, bird watching and playing cards.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Susan M. (Kellar) Lindenberger whom he married February 24, 1968; three sons Thomas (Brenda) of Monroeville, Timothy (Amy) of Florida, and Steven (Letty) of Lorain; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph of Kentucky, and Donald (Sandra) of Greenwich; four sisters, Sister Betty Lindenberger OSF of Tiffin, Sister Karen Lindenberger OSF of Canton, Karen Smith of Wyoming and Ann (Don) Peebles of Wadsworth; and sisters-in-law, Susan Lindenberger of Norwalk and Karen Lindenberger of Norwalk.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Dennis and brother-in-law Dennis Smith and sister-in-law Marlene. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, September 18, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville. Fr. Charles Obinwa will officiate. Entombment will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 Bogart Rd, Huron, OH 44839.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 66 Chapel St., Monroeville, Ohio 44847.
