James T. “Zoomie” Gow, 65, of Huron passed away peacefully Monday, June 27, 2022, at his residence.
He was born December 9, 1956, in Newton, Massachusetts and was a 1974 graduate of Huron High School. Zoomie was employed at Precision Body Shop, Sandusky prior to his retirement. He was known throughout the area for his work on corvettes and many other classic cars and hot rods. His goal was to salvage everything and be able to fix anything with four wheels. Jim also has made many raw iron works in the area. Over the years, he designed and developed many animatronics projects for amusement parks and carnivals.
He is survived by his wife, the former Bobbie J. Bradfield, four children, Cher (John) McGlashan, Elise M. (Jake Parkinson) Green, Stephanie (Roberto) Leon, all of Sandusky and Gabe Bradfield of Huron; twelve grandchildren, Adrian, Julian, John, Dominic, Everett, Vivienne, Declan, Macaulay, Blake, Sylvester, Valentino and Ralphie.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bettiann Beck Gow, his father, James Thomas Gow, Jr., and grandmother, Mildred G. Beck.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, July 1, 2022, in the Oakland Cemetery Chapel, 2917 Milan Road, Sandusky. Rev. Christine Vanderbilt will officiate.
Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky has been entrusted with arrangements.
