James T. Fritz, Jr.

James T. Fritz, Jr., 55, of Sandusky passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, in the Stein Hospice Care Center.

He was born September 7, 1967, in Sandusky and had attended Sandusky High School.

James enjoyed NASCAR, camping, traveling with his best friend, and being “Pawpaw” to his grandchildren. He was a social butterfly and became quick friends to everyone he met.

He is survived by his best friend and loving life partner, Theresa Patchin; children, Tiffany (Scott Bivens) Fritz, Robert (Candice) Fritz, Tara Fritz, Kevin (Samantha) Lukitsh, Emilly (Brandon McGuire) Patchin, James Damron, and Joleena Jackson; numerous grandchildren;  mother, Gatha A. Fritz; sister, Lisa (Doug) Losiewicz; close friend and NASCAR buddy, Larry Ours, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of great friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Lukitsh; his father, James T. Fritz, Sr.; sisters, Theresa Fritz and Robin Ringle; and first wife, Karen Fritz.

Friends may call from 2:00 pm until time of funeral service at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Pastor Kelly Blystone will officiate. At James request cremation will take place and inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
