Harry Heimrich Obituary

Harry J. Heimrich, 78, of Greenwich, Ohio passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, November 4, 2021, at his residence following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 5, 1943, in Tiffin, Ohio and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Harry retired in 2008 from the Moss Creek Golf Course in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Prior to this, he drove truck for Schneider National Trucking Company.

His hobbies included landscaping, golf, bowling, gardening, and boating. Harry was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Monroeville and he considered the church his second family. He was a simple man and was always willing to lend a hand to help. Harry was the happiest when his whole family was happy and healthy.

He is survived by four children, Connie J. MacNiven, Tarrie J. Powell, Edward J. (Laura) Heimrich, and James L. (Carrie) Heimrich; nine grandchildren, Joshua Barber, Steven Barber, Christine Barber, Jamie Lynn Heimrich, JeaAnna Heimrich, Michelle Chaffee, Craig MacNiven, II, Chad MacNiven, and Christopher MacNiven; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Heimrich; two sisters, Imogene (Lynn) Dircks and Lititia (Robert) Craft; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his wife Edna P. (Dute-Shawver) Heimrich in 2013; father, Franklin R. Heimrich; mother, Joyce (Tysinger) Campbell; three brothers, Ralph (Lucy) Heimrich, Michael (Deloras) Heimrich, and Terry Heimrich; three sisters, Rosalie (Gerold) Adams, Maxine (Howard) Young, and Marta Dull.

Harry’s family will receive friends from noon until the time of the celebration of life service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 20, 2021, in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 Broad Street, Monroeville, Ohio 44847. Rev. Patti Abel will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
