Harry Lee Francis, Sr.

Harry Lee Francis, Sr., of Winston-Salem, North Carolina passed peacefully from this life on September 1, 2026.  He was born on May 20, 1935, in Washington, Pennsylvania.

Harry went to Lorain High School and was a proud veteran, serving the Army from 1953 to 1955.  He had a long career in advertising, retiring from AT&T in 1996.  He enjoyed traveling (especially cruising with Marliese), writing and singing original songs, gardening and baking.  He and Marliese were longtime members of the Triad German Club.

He is survived by daughter, Karen Bashak of Hudson, Florida; son, Terry Scott Francis (Paula) of Eastlake, Ohio; and son, Garry Todd Francis of Nova, Ohio; and many grand, great grand and great, great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Marliese; son, Harry Lee Francis, Jr.; and daughter, Carrie Lynn Scheithauer. 

The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of angels at the Ohio Veterans Home and Stein Hospice in Sandusky who lovingly took care of Harry during his final months. 

A celebration of life will be held at a time a place to be announced in the near future.
