Forrest "Bud" Lee Stewart, Sr.

Forrest L. “Bud” Stewart, Sr., 88, of Ashland passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, June 28, 2020 surrounded by his family.

He was born July 14, 1931 in Lyme Township, Ohio and was a 1949 graduate of Monroeville High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Ford Motor Company, Sandusky Plant for thirty-six years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Ashland, a fifty plus year member of the Roby Lodge No. 534, F.&A.M., Singara Grotto, El Rey Grotto, American Legion Post 547, Norwalk VFW Post 2743, Ashland Eagles, Polk AMVETS Post 149.  He enjoyed word working, bowling, and golf.

He is survived by one son, Forrest Lee (Brenda) Stewart, Jr., Norwalk; one daughter, Valerie Wright, Ashland; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice A. Stewart in 2015; his parents, Ben and Edith (Lamblin) Stewart; siblings, Virginia Pierce, Flo Portner, Donna Stewart, Lois Stewart, Eugene Stewart, Louis Stewart, Dennis Stewart, Vivian Downing, Thelma Stewart, Aileen Ludington, and Fayebelle Stewart; two granddaughters, one great-grandson, and one great great-grandson.

Friends may call from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville, where Roby Lodge will hold Masonic Services at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 2, 2020 in the funeral home. Pastor Jim Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in the Ashland County Memorial Park, Ashland.
