Dorothy Jean (Sengstock) Shirey

Dorothy J. (Sengstock) Shirey, 85, of Castalia passed away early Tuesday morning, May 30, 2023.

She was born September 11, 1937, in Castalia to the late Alton Sengstock, Sr. and Lena (Young) Sengstock. 

Dorothy graduated from Margaretta High School in 1955. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy (David) Bohn of Castalia, three sons, James (Marilou) Neill of Castalia, Jeff Neill of Castalia, and Jerry (Lorna) Neill of Clyde; eleven grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; one sister Alice (Donald) Kuns of Castalia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands, Lewis H. Neill of Castalia, and Ronald Shirey of Toledo; two sisters, Margaret Lieb and Joyce Cheek both of Sandusky; two brothers, Charles Galloway, Jr. of Sandusky, and Alton “Bud” Sengstock, Jr. of Castalia.

Private family services and cremation burial will be held in Castalia Cemetery.
