Obituary

David Jumper, 68, originally of Tiffin passed peacefully Thursday, November 10, 2022. He was born November 30, 1953, to parents Dale and Etho Jumper and is survived by his sister, Alice Black (Tucson, AZ). David graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1971. He attended college for several years in Michigan on a cross-country scholarship. Returning to Tiffin, he followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the Navy in 1974 and served for 20 years.  He returned to Tiffin where he worked at the Advertiser Tribune.  David was an avid bowler and loved to travel for bowling tournaments. He loved music, going to concerts and playing his guitars. A service will be held in the Chapel at the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio, on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 with the service at 1 p.m.  Per David’s wish – his burial will be at sea.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, 875 N. Randolph St., Ste. 225, Arlington, VA  22203.
