David A. Halas

David A. Halas, 72, formerly of Toledo passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio.

He was born November 18, 1952, in Toledo Ohio and was a graduate of Cardinal Stritch high school. David served in the U. S. Navy for four years. He was previously employed by St. Clement's church and Toledo Public schools. David loved music and was proficient at playing the organ.

Surviving David is his son, Steven Halas; brother, Robert (Debbie) Halas; sister, Judy Jacso, nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Carol on May 9, 2019; his parents, Louis and Margaret (Boda) Halas; and his brother, William. 

Friends may call from12:30 pm until time of services at 1:00 pm in the Ohio Veterans Home, Secrest Chapel, 3416 Columbus Ave. Sandusky, Ohio on Thursday May 15, 2025. A private burial will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
