Obituary
Charles Anthony Gamier, of Mentor, Ohio, passed away peacefully at the Firelands Medical Center in Sandusky on March 1, 2022, at the age of 80.
Chuck, as he was known to all who loved him, was a proud husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 55+ years, Sandra Gamier, and his son Jeffery Gamier (Victoria). He was also known as Uncle Chuck to his nephew, Michael, and his niece, Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Italo and Bertha Gamier.
Chuck was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in February 1942. He worked for 50+ years as a shipping/receiving specialist for Phillips (formerly Picker).
Chuck served in the United States Army in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Chuck was an avid golfer and bowler, earning the achievement of a perfect 300 game. He had an extensive knowledge of tools, cars and how to fix things, always willing to lend that knowledge, and a helping hand if needed.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a time and date to be determined.
Pfeil Funeral Home of Sandusky has been entrusted with arrangements.
