Bonnie L. (Butler) Marquardt

Bonnie L. Marquardt, 74, of Norwalk passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026. She was born on December 8, 1951, in Sandusky, Ohio.

Bonnie never met a stranger and was always ready for a good conversation over a cup of coffee. She had a special love for children and took great joy in cheering them on, especially around the horse arena. To Bonnie, every child was her “baby”, and she made each one feel loved, supported, and important. Her kindness, encouragement, and welcoming spirit touched the lives of many.

Bonnie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy lives on through her family and the countless people whose lives were brightened by her caring heart and friendship.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Michelle Kocher, Mark Marquardt, Amanda Haley, and Mindi Laferty; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and three siblings, along with many extended family members and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Vivian Butler; her brother, Duane Butler; and her sister, Patricia Stanley.

“Though she is gone from our sight, the love, laughter, and memories she shared will remain in our hearts forever.”

The family requests that you dress casually for the visitation from 10:00 am until the time of funeral service at noon on Monday, October 5, 2026, in Sandhill FWB Church, 7703 Mason Road, Sandusky. Pastor Garry Sorrell will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery, Sandusky.
