Annabelle L. Meyer, 92, of Monroeville passed away peacefully Thursday, February 4, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 11, 1928 in Dearborn, Michigan and was a 1946 graduate of Monroeville High School. Annabelle was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroeville where she was active in the RCIA program. She was a lifetime auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 547 and the Bronson Conservation League. Annabelle was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved the time she spent babysitting not only her grandchildren, but all the neighborhood children as well. Annabelle looked forward to rocking the babies in heaven. She did not know a stranger, and was a thoughtful person, sending cards to friends and family for any occasion to let them know she was thinking about them. Annabelle loved cross stitching pillowcases and tablecloths for family and friends, making homemade comforters for all her great grandchildren. She collected angels and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. She also loved to support her grandchildren in their sporting events.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Joann) Meyer of Monroeville, Marianne (David) Lierenz of Norwalk, David Meyer of Monroeville, and Melinda (Bob) Davis of Norwalk; six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; brother, John Knoll of Georgia; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose E. Meyer in 2003; one son, Larry Meyer; parents, Leonard and Lucille (Schwan) Knoll; and brother, James Knoll.
Friends may call from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm Monday, February 8, 2021 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville.
