Vernon C. Mushett, 85, of Las Vegas, NV. passed away March 25, 2016 in the Delmar Gardens of Green Valley, Henderson, NV. following a brief illness.
He was born January 8, 1931. Vernon was a 1949 graduate of Monroeville High School and had attended Tiffin University. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a life member of American Legion Post 547, Monroeville. Prior to his retirement, Vernon was employed as a Director of Flight Services with Continental Airlines.
He is survived by one brother, Glen (Janet) Mushett of Anchorage, Alaska; two nephews, Dale and John Mushett; one niece, Amy Kofoid; one great nephew, Landen Mushett; one great niece, Eisley Kofoid and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, June E. (Keough) Mushett on December 11, 2015 and his parents, Clifford & Aletha (Jakes) Mushett.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:30 AM in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville with Fr. Ronald A. Schock officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
