Randy J. Huey, 66, of Sandusky passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born November 19, 1952 in Sandusky to James and Faith (Green) Huey. Randy retired from the United States Navy, honorably serving his country from May 12, 1972 – December 31, 1992. He was employed at J H Routh Packing Company for 14 years. He truly enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Randy is survived by his son, Sergeant First Class Randy (Shawna) Huey II serving in Germany; two grandchildren, Tristan and Ariana Huey; siblings, Cheryl (Bernard) Pfefferle of Castalia, Richard (Nancy) Huey of Fremont, Candance Alley of Arkansas, and Roberta Huey of Sandusky; special friends, Wendy Wightman of Castalia and Rhonda Marshall of Olivet, MI; nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 27, 2019 in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Chaplain Mel Sayler will officiate. Per Randy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and he will be buried at sea. Fair winds and following seas.
