M. Richard Printy

M. Richard Printy, 87, of Sandusky passed away Wednesday morning, July 18, 2018 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky following a lengthy illness.

He was born March 1, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio and moved to Sandusky in 1962. Dick was employed by Bobels Office Supply (formerly Denzer’s) until his retirement. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiwanis of Sandusky, where he had served as past president. His hobbies included photography, puzzles, clock building, and repairing old TV’s.

He is survived by his three children, Cathryn (James) Kadushin of Gilbertsville, PA; David (Sandy) Printy of Fullerton, CA, and Cheryl (Herman) Keiling of Camillus, NY; six grandchildren, Daniel (Rachel) Kadushin, Diane (Jacob) Ricker, Samantha (Josh) Iufer, Sarah Printy, Natalie Keiling, and Matthew Keiling; two great-grandchildren, Derek and Justin Ricker; three sisters-in-law, Jeanne Printy of Sandusky, Nancy McMahon of San Bruno, CA, and Pat Hunter of Orange County, CA; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. (Hunter) Printy on November 28, 1986; three infant daughters, Caryn, Carolyn, and Cynthia; his parents, James E. and Hazel (Sterling) Printy; two brothers, Dr. James Printy and brother Billy Printy; and two nieces.

Friends may call Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Matthew Frisbee will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Providence Care Center, 2025 Hayes Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 or to the Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.

The family would like to thank all family, friends, and neighbors that have helped over the past years in keeping Dick at home and independent. Especially Michael Printy, Sue Fitzpatrick, nurse Elizabeth, and aide Shajuana.
