Lucille "Lucy" "Lina" Stocker

Lucille “Lucy”/“Lina” Stocker, 93, of Sandusky passed away early Monday morning, August 27, 2018 in the Stein Hospice Care Center following a brief illness.

She was born August 14, 1925 in Oberwil, Kt. Berne, Switzerland and moved to Sandusky to work as a nanny for Otto and Mimi Eicher in December of 1951. After working as a nanny for five years, she attended cosmetology school in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon graduation she began her lifelong career at the Marlon Beauty Shoppe working for her lifelong friend Margrit Eicher Otto. Shortly after, she became an American citizen. Lucy became owner of the Marlon in 2005 after the death of Margrit. She retired after 48 years of cosmetology service.

She is survived by two sisters, Marti Zbinden and Ida Abbuhl, both of Switzerland; one sister-in-law, Anne Marie Stocker of Switzerland; numerous nieces and nephews, and friends all of Switzerland. She is also survived by Dr. Richard (Sharman) Eicher of Florida, Valerie Layman, and Dr. Dennis Eicher, both of Colorado; special friends, Joe and Berti Corso of Sandusky, and Margot Eicher of Colorado; and her best friend and caregiver, Cris Cattano of Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Lina (Kipfer) Stocker; two sisters, Bertha Ueltschi and Luise Haueter; one brother, Andreas Stocker; and lifelong friends, Margrit and Walter Otto.

Friends may call Friday, August 31, 2018 from 12:30 PM until time of memorial service at 1:30 PM in the chapel at Oakland Cemetery, 2917 Milan Road, Sandusky. Fr. Phil Feltman will officiate.
