Jonathan M. "Jon" Walton

Jonathan M. “Jon” Walton, 21, of Sandusky passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, June 26, 2019 in the University Hospitals of Cleveland following a brief illness.

John was born July 2, 1997 in Sandusky. His hobbies included music, playing the guitar and drums, writing music, playing video games, animals, bringing home stray kittens, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Tina (Lenke) Walton, IV of Sandusky; one sister, Jessica Walton of Norwalk; two grandmothers, Diane Lenke of Sandusky and Sandra Walton of Tyler, TX; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, Rick Lenke and Thomas Walton, III; and one aunt, Susie Lenke.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of memorial service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2211 Mills Street, Sandusky. Pastor Bill Schroeder will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services, 505 W. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 or to the Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
