Annabell Dorothy Cutcher Wright

Annabell Dorothy Cutcher Wright, age 95, Sandusky, died on Friday, July 13, 2018 after a brief illness at The Meadows at Osborn Park.

She was born on December 22, 1922 in Sandusky to her parents Benjamin and Rose Cutcher. She was one of eight children and a graduate of Sandusky High School. On June 27, 1943, she married the love of her life, Francis Wright, and enjoyed 53 happy years together.

Annabell spent her whole life taking care of others. She raised her two daughters, Faye and Hope, helped raise her grandchildren, and even her great grandchildren. She also took care of many neighbors in time of need.

She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sandusky. At Zion she took on many rolls, including teaching Sunday School, helping with children's choir, adviser to Luther League, altar guild, kitchen committee, hospitality, and helped in any other way she could. The congregation of Zion was just part of her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Faye Gast and Hope (Michael) Bailey, six grandchildren, Belinda Gast Hunter, Missy Gast Cundiff, Lisa Gast Smith, Phillip Gast, Clayton Bailey and Kimberly Bailey Thorne. She also had 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Annabell was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Wright, parents, and siblings Pauline, Sylvia, Beatrice, Mildred, Rose, Kate, Ben, and son-in-law, Ernie Gast.

Friends may call from 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 18, 2018 until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Rev. Dr. Eric Bodenstab will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
