Timothy "Tim" Ruh Obituary

Timothy John Ruh, 55, of Lindsey, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at his special cabin in Southern Ohio, after complications with diabetes and PTSD.

Tim was born March 4, 1968, in Akron, Ohio. He was a 1986 graduate of Bellevue High School, Bellevue, Ohio. He attended Howe Military School, Indiana, for two years, where he also played football. After his high school graduation, Tim joined the US Army, serving in Panama and Honduras during the drug wars there, as well as in Korea, guarding the DMZ. He was honorably discharged, and began civilian life only to be recalled to active duty to serve in Desert Storm. Upon Tim's honorable discharge, he attended college and graduated with honors from Methodist College in Michigan. 

Tim was very athletic and a hard worker. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours in his youth with his grandfather, Melvin and Uncle Roger Schug on the family dairy farm. He enjoyed working with the farm livestock and often rode his paint horse, especially with his sister, Liz. In his youth, he was very active in the 4-H program.

Tim met and married Elizabeth Koenreich who survives. He is also survived by his three children, Andrew (Keily) Ruh, Corbin M. Ruh, and Iva Mae Gillmor; his mother, Carole Schug Ruh; his sister, Elizabeth (Marvin) Widman; grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephew. 

He was preceded in death by his father, E. John Ruh; grandparents, Melvin and Evelyn Schug and Julian and Della Ruh.

A private service has taken place.
