After retirement, Ray and Susan wintered in Jet Park, Palmetto, Florida, where she served on the Social Committee for 10 years. Their love of traveling took them many places, including three weeks in Ireland, and a two-month driving trip through Alaska and the Northwest. They visited 43 national parks, camping in many.
She is survived by two daughters, Jil (Bruce) Carr of Sandusky, and Nel (Greg) Santa of Alexandria, her granddaughter, Elizabeth Santa, sister Melinda (Richard) Foor of North Ridgeville, Ohio, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray; her parents, Stanley and Hope (Harris) Benner, and sister Carolyn (Donald) Gilder.
