Wayne P. Knisely

Wayne P. Knisely, 76, of Sandusky passed away Monday afternoon, December 4, 2017 in the Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky following a lengthy illness.

He was born July 28, 1941 in Sandusky and was a 1960 graduate of Sandusky High School. Wayne was employed as a bus driver in the Bellevue School System for 18 years, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and was an avid Cleveland sports fan, and especially the Cavs.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Geraldine S. (Wallace) Knisely; one son, Kevin Knisely; four grandchildren; one brother, Russell (Mary) Knisely all of Sandusky; one sister in law, Nancy Wallace of New London; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Shirley (Ballash) Knisely.

Friends may call Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Lenore L. Kure of First Congregational United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in the Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
