Scotty W. Davis, 57, of Sandusky passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 in the James Cancer Hospital, Columbus, Ohio following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 10, 1960 in Sandusky and was a 1979 graduate of Margaretta High School. In 1982, he earned his Associates Degree from the Agricultural Tech Institute of The Ohio State University. Scotty was employed as a Horticulturist at the Ohio Veterans Home for 30 years, retiring in 2013.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sandusky, Sons of the American Legion, Erie County 4-H committee, former member of the Perkins Band Boosters, and Boy Scouts Assistant Scout Master with Troop 7.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, the former Donna Jessberger; one son, Scotty W. Davis II; one daughter, Easter L. Davis, both of Dayton, Ohio; mother and step father, Sarah and Everett Jenkins of Fort Myers, FL; one half brother, Robert E. Jenkins of Sandusky; and one aunt, Patsy Troike of Castalia.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayne and Easter Davis.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Robb Fowler will officiate. At the request of the deceased, cremation will follow. Family committal services will take place at a later date in the Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
