Oliver "Dave" Burkett, 77, a resident of the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky and formerly of Lisbon, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at his residence.
He was born January 12, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA and had lived in the Salem, Ohio area for most of his life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by one son, David (Michelle) of Decatur, Illinois; one daughter, Diane (Dave) of Pataskala, Ohio; four granddaughters, Aileen, Maggie, Erin, and Colleen; and one sister, Michelle Parrotto of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Sarah (Keefer) Burkett and three sisters.
Military Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Giffin Chapel of the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky is assisting the family with arrangements.
