Jane B. Brock, 89, of Sandusky, passed away October 12, 2017, following a brief illness.
She was born January 16, 1928 in Albion, Michigan, and grew up in Michigan. She graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in June 1946. She attended Denison University - Granville, Ohio and graduated from Northwestern University – Evanston, Illinois in June 1950.
Jane married William Nelson Brock, Jr. in July 1950. They moved to Sandusky in 1953, where he was employed by WLEC Radio Station and Buckeye Cable System.
She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi fraternity, and the First Congregational Church, UCC in Sandusky.
She is survived by her two daughters – Carol (Jack) Bowyer of Sacramento, CA; Ellen (Richard) Doerner of Loomis, CA; and one son – David (Debra) Brock of Mount Vernon, OH. Six Granddaughters – Rebecca Jackson of Tulalip, WA; Elizabeth (Gannon) McNamara of Carmichael, CA; Kristlyn Brock, Kayla (Donavan) Bowers, Kira (Aaron) Walker, and Kelsey Brock all of Mount Vernon, OH. Four Grandsons – Paul Doerner, Tallassee, TN, Mark (Allison-Fae) Doerner, Sacramento, CA and David Doerner of Loomis, CA. and Doug Bowyer of Tacoma, WA. Three Great Granddaughters – Izabella Jackson of Tulalip, WA; Elena Brock and Aoife Bowers of Mount Vernon, Ohio; Two Great Grandsons – Declan and Finn McNamara of Carmichael, CA; and her Brother-in Law Richard Brock of Sherman Oaks, CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988, her parents – Paul and Luella Baldwin, and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Oakland Cemetery Chapel. The Rev. Lenore Kure will officiate.
Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky is assisting the family with arrangements.
